On November 14, 2025, the National Skills Competitions officially kick off, marking a significant milestone for youth empowerment, education, and professional development in Albania. This year’s edition opens with a record-breaking number of approximately 300 applications, reflecting the growing interest and trust in skills-based learning and innovation.
The competition is organized across 9 categories, covering a wide range of professional, creative, and innovative fields, including graphic design, digital skills, entrepreneurship, as well as hackathons in tourism and agriculture.

🏁 National Skills Competitions – Opening Day Overview
On the first day, the event proceeded with the registration of competitors, followed by the official opening ceremony and the presentation of the respective juries, composed of professionals and experts from each field.
The opening ceremony began with a welcoming address by Endrit Myrta, Director of the Organization, who extended his best wishes to all participating competitors, experts, and partners, emphasizing the importance of fair competition, dedication, and professionalism.
He then gave the floor to Arlinda Baci, Member of the Board of AlbanianSkills, who conveyed her appreciation on the occasion of the organization’s 10-year jubilee. In her speech, she highlighted the journey, achievements, and long-term impact of AlbanianSkills, while acknowledging the contribution of partners, experts, and young participants over the years.
Among the speakers was also Borana Pepa, Project Manager at Albskill, who placed strong emphasis on youth empowerment and the importance of skills development as a key pathway to employment. She underlined how practical, professional, and digital skills increase young people’s competitiveness in the labor market and help bridge the gap between education and real market needs.
She concluded by encouraging all competitors to engage in a fair, dynamic, and high-quality competition, motivating them to give their best, collaborate, and make the most of this experience as an opportunity for learning, growth, and professional development.
Finally, the speech was given to Ana Zacharian, Founder and Chairwoman of the Board, who delivered the closing remarks of the opening ceremony.
In her address, she reflected on the vision behind the establishment of the initiative, the journey over the years, and the importance of investing consistently in skills, youth, and innovation. She emphasized the responsibility of institutions, partners, and society to create real opportunities for young people, encouraging competitors to believe in their potential and to approach the competition with confidence, integrity, and determination.
